Using The Lockers

In Methody you will be given books for every subject which you study.  It is very important to remember the correct books for the appropriate class.

One way to do this is to carry around all your books which you need for the whole day!  As you can imagine, carrying your books around all at once will result in your school bag becoming very heavy!!

To avoid this problem, we allocate every pupil a locker to keep their belongings in.

This locker will be yours for the whole year - so it is very important to learn how to use it properly.

You are allowed to visit your locker 4 times a day - before school, at break, at lunch and after school.

Here are some helpful hints for using the locker:-

1)    Keep your locker key in a safe place; you may want to keep it with your own personal keys.

2)    Make out a copy of your timetable and put it up inside your locker - you may want to make a list of which books to bring to which subjects.

3)    If you put your lunch in your locker, make sure you do not leave any food behind at the end of the day.

4)    If you forget your key, you must go to the Janitors before 8.45.  They will be able to open your locker for you and lock it again.  If you lose your key you must see Mrs Woods in the admin. centre for a replacement.  Your Tutor will tell you more about this.

5)     Keep the books in your locker very organised- this will ensure that you can find the books you need easily.

6)     You may want to put up a list of the homeworks you will be doing each night, on the inside of your locker - this will help to remind you which books to take home in the evening.

7)    Remember to take your PE kit home with you - don't leave it in the locker in case it walks out of its own accord!
