Lost

Methody is a big school and it is very likely that you may get lost within the first few weeks!

Here are a few helpful hints:-

a) Don't panic - there are lots of people who are here to help you.  Remember you will have a copy of your timetable and a map of the school.

b) Ask a teacher for help - he or she will ask to see your timetable and map; make sure you have these with you at all times.

c) Ask a Prefect for help.  Prefects and Assistant Prefects are Sixth Form pupils.  They wear a round Prefect's badge on their blazer.  There are always Prefects on duty in the corridors at break and lunchtime.

d) If all else fails and you have lost your timetable and map, go to Reception.

If a problem arises about your transport home in the afternoon, remember that the receptionist will be on duty until 4.40 pm if you need to return to school.  After 4.40 pm, there will always be responsible adults around in the A Block area (Boys' Boarding) and in McArthur Hall (Girls' Boarding).

If you arrive late to class because you were lost, apologise to the teacher and get settled at your desk quickly!
